Last time Amazon provided the exact number of items in each product category (it was late 2018), the Kindle Unlimited book catalog contains more than 1.4 million titles.
Now if you open the catalog and scroll down to view the full list, don't be disappointed if you see "more than 70,000 results". It's how Amazon now renders results in broad categories.
A screenshot of the Kindle Unlimited front page shows that there are 70,000 books available - in fact, about 1.5 million are included.
As I said, in 2018 there were 1.4 million eligible books. The number is still growing, maybe not as fast as it was a few years ago, but we can assume that thousands of new publications arrive at Kindle Unlimited every month.

The Kindle Unlimited catalog includes:

3. You still won't find books from major publishers.
In the beginning, Kindle Unlimited's biggest drawback was the lack of publications from major publishers: Hachette, Mac Millan, Simon & Schuster, Harper Collins, and Penguin.
The bad news is it hasn't changed a bit for the better.
If you want to save money on the hottest bestsellers by buying Kindle Unlimited, make sure to check out the titles you want to read. Don't expect books from Janet Evan ovich, Stephen King, Dan Brown or Nora Roberts.
4. Kindle Unlimited books make up 80% of the top 100 bestsellers
Kindle Unlimited has changed the way readers find new books to read. Big name authors are still proof of the good read, but sometimes all you need is a page turner in a specific category.

5. Most Kindle Unlimited books cost $ 4.99 or less.
The most common reason to sign up for an ebook subscription is saving money.

7. Kindle Unlimited Does Not Offer Standalone Audio books
With a Kindle Unlimited subscription, you can read not only free Kindle ebooks, but also popular magazines or comic books and graphic novels.
Does Kindle Unlimited provide free access to Audible audio books? No. You will not find standalone audio books in the catalog of eligible tiles. You cannot use the service to download audio books to an Audible app on your Fire or iPad.
Instead, Kindle Unlimited offers Audible Narration. It's an audio book companion available for download to your Kindle or Kindle app (and not the Audible app).
After the file is downloaded, you can seamlessly switch to narration and backward. In short, you can turn the book you are reading into an audio book.
Currently, there are more than 60,000 Kindle Unlimited books with Audible Narration.

8. How to Find Kindle Unlimited Books
Amazon is so packed with features, categories, and special subpages that it becomes very difficult to find books in special categories.
However, it is good to spend some time testing Kindle Unlimited eligibility for the books on your wish list. Assuming the book will be available through Kindle Unlimited, especially if you want a best seller, this can be a big disappointment.

If you go directly to Go to the Kindle Unlimited home page, you'll see some recommended sections, followed by the full catalog of KU-eligible books.

Popular books with narration
If you scroll down, you will see the entire catalog, sorted by recommended titles. "Featured" means that a book has been hand-picked by editors, based on sales rank, number of positive reviews, and the quality of the book.
You can change the sort order to price, average customer review, or publish date. Relying on customer reviews is a great way to find good articles, especially if you've never heard of the books and their authors.
You can narrow the list of books by selecting one of the categories in the left sidebar.
2. Browse the Kindle Store with the Kindle Unlimited filter enabled.
Even if you don't go directly to the Kindle Unlimited home page, you can limit the search results to books included in the subscription service.
when browsing the Search Kindle Store to the 'Kindle Unlimited Eligible' checkbox on the left. It usually comes as a first filter option on the left sidebar.
When you use a search box to find the book you like, for example Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee, and check the KU Eligibility checkbox, you will see the book disappear from the search results. This means it is not available through Kindle Unlimited.
9. Kindle Unlimited is available in select countries
Kindle Unlimited has been launched in the main Amazon online store as a service aimed only at US customers.
It is now also available in localized Kindle Stores in select countries. These are the Amazon stores and monthly costs.

Don't even think about packing your Kindle with hundreds of Kindle Unlimited books or creating extensive collections of them.
You can keep up to 10 Kindle Unlimited books in your account at one time. If you have two devices, you cannot download 10 books to each device. You can have a total of 10 books on all your devices.
